The Morpheus II pioneers the latest range of Zerberus guitars.
During its development, we applied all our skill and experience to produce a guitar that would
cover a wide spectrum of tonal characteristics and styles.
In an era of mass-produced clones, copies and imitations, its aesthetic appearance alone speaks volumes.
The goal was to build a robust and versatile ‘dream’ guitar that
would meet any and all professional demands, but which also had strong on-stage visual credibility.
Weighing in at just 3 kilograms, the Morpheus is very comfortable to hold, and thanks to the deep double cutaways, its players need
not be contortionists to gain access to the higher frets. With its set neck joint construction and string-through-body configuration, even unplugged, the sound of the Morpheus is truly amazing.
And with its powerful passive
electronics, resonant timbers and high-sustain hard-tail bridge, it delivers fully on its promise plugged in.
Its powerful, penetrating output never becomes muddy or distorted.
In clean humbucker mode, the guitar lends itself to soft, melodic jazz.
Turn up the gain and the Morpheus exhibits a darker, aggressive personality.
The fast attack and low-noise circuitry make it ideal as a heavy metal
axe; one that will howl and scream through any high-gain solo.
When switched to coil-splitting mode, the character of the guitar changes so dramatically, it's difficult to believe it's still the same instrument.
At the pull
of a knob, it transforms from heavy-metal into a blues, rock-and-roll, or country music workhorse with a raunchy vintage twang.
